Marriages and Baptisms
Christ church is a wonderful venue for those wanting to get married or have their child baptised.
We believe in baptism as a sign of entry into the Church, the Lord’s family. If it is the baptism of an infant that brings you here we will want to make sure you fully understand what this means, and will ask you to attend some training in the Christian faith before making any plans or decisions. We are happy to chat about this and encourage you to get in touch with our office.
We believe in marriage; we want to help those who are thinking about getting married and support those who already are.
We run a three week marriage course once a year, do enquire for further details if you are considering marriage, getting married here or elsewhere, or are wanting a marriage refresher course.
We are part of the Church of England, our clergy like working with couples to plan their big day, and we enjoy conducting marriages in a friendly and reverent way.
You can be married in this church if you live in the parish or are a regular worshipping member of our church family. Requests for re-marriage are considered individually. If one of you holds a passport other than British; the formalities take extra time so please get in touch early. Do get in touch if you want to discuss any of this further.
